     The future of Armenia lies with the development and economic exploitation of its intellectual property to create high paying jobs and economic stability.  This seminar briefly covers US intellectual property laws and similarities with European, Russian and Armenian laws.  A discussion will follow regarding practical first-hand knowledge of proposing an invention, submitting, applying and receiving a US and European patent.  

 

Speaker: Randal E. Knar has BS and MS degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering, respectively and Mathematics minor.  While his industrial experience is primarily in the aerospace industry, he also has significant experience in commercial industry, retail automotive sales, technical consulting and human resources.  Mr. Knar also possesses five professional certifications including Quality Manager, Consulting Engineer and Six Sigma Black Belt.

He has over 885 hours of Six Sigma (process variability reduction) training spanning more than two decades and has held a variety of positions including manufacturing project manager, Quality Assurance manager, operations manager, and small company manufacturing engineering consultant.  Since 2004, he has submitted 19 invention disclosures, has received one US and one European patent with three more US patents pending.   In addition, he has won four prestigious Raytheon Company corporate awards in three different professional disciplines for space satellite and military aircraft assemblies.
